New Solo Release March 2009
« on: January 31, 2009, 12:44:09 PM »

Watch out for...some good news in the very near future. There's something in the pipeline.

Leo Abrahams (who played in Ronan's band for a while after Steve Jones left) says in his web diary:
"I also spent a couple of days recording the new Ronan Keating album, which was an unusual experience. The whole thing was done live in 2 days with a 26-piece orchestra."

As far as I know it was Sabine who first discovered that link so I'd like to credit her for that. More details shortly.

I've asked Leo if it's really a Ronan Album or if it's a BZ one, here's the answer:

hi sabine,

it's a ronan album, but i'm sworn to secrecy about what it is! but it sounds great.

all the best,
leo

Thanks to Karen...

THE night before the launch I went out for a sensible meal with RONAN KEATING.

But an Irishman and a Scotsman together was never going to be a non-drinking affair and we ended up quite well refreshed.

Ronan, who has been working on an album for Mother’s Day, told me about his preparations.

He said: The altitude is the real challenge. The most important thing is that we all help each other and give each other some support.

Mother's day  that's soon! (22 March)

Can't wait, guessing it will probably be live versions of old songs or maybe a few covers - not getting my hopes up for anything completely new, but at least it will be something out there with Ronan's name on as a solo artist. :D

Never thought I would end up saying this but covers are WONDERFUL so long as he sings them on his own.

Don't expect any 'new' material just yet - but hey we don't make demands do we, as long as we can have him back  8)

Ronan's new album for Mother's day
« Reply #14 on: February 05, 2009, 01:54:51 AM »

OK, I have been playing detective tonight and I have found out some details about Ronan's new album  I think it's going to be a nice little treat for us Ronan fans.

This is from Nick Ingman's site, he was the conductor of the orchestra.

It was a great pleasure to team up with producer Stephen Lipson again just before Xmas. Ronan Keating recorded an album with Stephen at the helm and myself on arranging and conducting duties. We recorded the whole project, including orchestra, rhythm section, and Ronan himself completely live, an event almost unheard of in this technology driven era. The album is dedicated to Ronan's mother who died of breast cancer two years ago, featuring her favourite songs, to be released on Mothers Day
